Margerae' R. Jackson, LPC

Founder of Become Uprooted Counseling Services, PLLC

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who helps individuals address the emotional, relational, and spiritual roots that may be keeping them stuck. My work is grounded in the belief that healing is not only about managing symptoms. It is also about understanding what happened, renewing the mind, restoring identity, and building a healthier future.

I provide Christian faith-integrated counseling for clients who want their relationship with God respected and incorporated into the therapeutic process. Evidence-based clinical practices are combined with biblical principles in a way that supports your goals, preferences, and level of comfort.

I believe people are more than what happened to them. It is an honor to walk alongside clients as they confront painful experiences, reconnect with their worth, and begin building a life rooted in truth, freedom, faith, and purpose.

Who I Help

I may be a good fit for you if...

You do not have to have everything figured out before beginning counseling. You only need a willingness to look honestly at what is beneath the surface and take the next step toward change.

You love God but still feel emotionally or spiritually stuck.

Past trauma continues to affect your identity, relationships, or ability to trust.

You are struggling with anxiety, depression, shame, grief, fear, or low self-worth.

You are navigating ministry burnout, a major transition, or an unexpected season of change.

You want counseling that respects and incorporates your Christian faith.

You want practical tools, honest reflection, emotional support, and biblical encouragement.

What It Is Like to Work With Me

Warm, honest, collaborative, and rooted in purpose

My counseling style is compassionate and welcoming while also being structured and intentional. I want you to feel heard and emotionally safe, but I will also help you identify patterns, examine beliefs, and take practical steps toward change.

Sessions are tailored to your needs and may include conversation, reflection, coping skills, journaling, expressive activities, Scripture, prayer, and between-session exercises.

Faith integration is not used to minimize emotional pain. Instead, it is incorporated thoughtfully alongside clinical care to support healing of the whole person.

What you can expect

A nonjudgmental space

A place to speak honestly about emotional, relational, and spiritual struggles without fear of condemnation.

02
Respectful accountability

Compassionate support combined with honest questions and encouragement toward meaningful change.

My Clinical Approach

Evidence-based care integrated with faith.

Counseling is personalized rather than one-size-fits-all. I draw from several therapeutic approaches depending on your needs, concerns, and treatment goals.

01

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Helps identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns while building healthier emotional and behavioral responses.

02

Christian Faith Integration

Incorporates biblical principles, Scripture, prayer, identity in Christ, forgiveness, grace, and spiritual reflection when desired.

03

Narrative Therapy

Helps separate your identity from painful experiences and rewrite the story you have learned to believe about yourself.

04

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

Supports emotional flexibility, values-based decision making, and meaningful action even when difficult feelings are present.

05

Motivational Interviewing

Helps strengthen internal motivation, resolve uncertainty, and move toward positive change at a sustainable pace.

06

Trauma-Informed Care

Prioritizes safety, trust, choice, empowerment, and sensitivity to how past experiences may shape current reactions.

The Become Uprooted Framework

Healing begins beneath the surface

Inspired by Jeremiah 1:10, the Become Uprooted framework represents a process of identifying what must be removed, rebuilding what was damaged, planting healthier beliefs, and nurturing lasting growth.

1

Uproot

Identify the painful experiences, harmful beliefs, unhealthy patterns, fear, shame, grief, or trauma that may be keeping you bound.

2

Rebuild

Strengthen emotional safety, coping skills, boundaries, confidence, self-awareness, and healthier ways of responding.

3

Replant

Replace harmful beliefs with truth, develop a healthier identity, and begin planting new habits aligned with your values and faith.

4

Bear Fruit

Practice new patterns consistently so healing, freedom, healthier relationships, purpose, and spiritual growth can flourish.
